Hiking and National Parks
Rattlesnake Ledge: Only 40 minutes from downtown Seattle, this hike is an easy 4 mile loop.
Mt. Rainer: First time in WA and looking to explore the national parks? We recommend hikes near Mt. Rainer. You can also drive to Sunrise Lodge (2-2.5 hrs) for an up close view of the mountain.
Far but Worth It: If you are taking an extended stay and plan to explore further outside Seattle, there are beautiful national parks besides Mt. Rainer. The Olympic National Park and North Cascades offer incredible hiking options.
Downtown Seattle
Pike Place Market: Seattle’s iconic public market is a 10-minute walk from the Fairmont. Explore the various stalls, attractions, and delicious food. Use the new Overlook Park to reach the waterfront.

Shopping: The first Nordstrom, Westlake Shopping Center, and other shops are within a 10-minute walk.
